Good fan but… Good fan but measure your block! My foundation block is hole is 8x16-1/2” so I didn’t feel comfortable drilling into the corner. I’ll buy some treated plywood to make a larger base. Fan is pretty quiet so it’s not noticeable from inside the house. Update: been a hard worker for quite awhile, almost 2 years but one fan quit working. $19 for a aftermarket fan and we’re back in business!

Helpful Support, Less Noise Upstairs, Less Humid & Less Musty Downstairs Installation was easy. I removed blades from the existing vent, drilled 4 holes in the block, added the fan, calked around it and plugged it in. I communicated with Mia from Customer Support because I could hear the fan pulsating upstairs when the house was quiet. Also, the air flow seemed light. After sending a couple of photos, they suggested removing one of the vent screens. That seemed to help the airflow. I then added rubber gaskets (photo) between the fan and block to reduce the noise. It is so much quieter upstairs! When I went back upstairs to check my work, I thought that the fan was off! Without reservation, I recommend that you do likewise. Most importantly the crawlspace is less humid and absolutely less musty. Finally, thanks to customer support for substantial support. I recommend that they add 8 rubber gaskets to the assembly.

Works as Designed So I’ve been using this exhaust fan for about 20 months now.. This fan works as designed not only for the humidity setting, but also the thermal freeze protection. The temperature has been at or below 30F now for over a week, with the fan thermal protection on. The temps are now above 40F and with a humidity above 60% and as designed, fan started up. If you look at the Radon levels, and humidity levels on the graphs, you can see a slight decrease in both. This shows the importance of air circulation, and pulling out air from the crawlspace. I have a completely conditioned crawlspace with all vents sealed with a dehumidifier installed. Install at least one of these exhaust fans to pull the air out. From what I’ve learned is it’s required for an encapsulated or conditioned crawlspace per the EPA regulations.

Cut my radon level in half. I put a commercial dehumidifier in my crawl space. My radon levels went up after I blocked off all my foundation vents. This fan cut my radon levels in half. I find it works great in combo with the dehumidifier. They saved me thousands by not having to encapsulate the crawl space. Hopefully they will both last a decent amount of time. The fan was very easy to install.

Works well I combined mine with smart plugs, so I could cut the power off without crawling under the house, on cold or rainy days

  1. Saved us from purchasing a vapor barrier. 💰

Had musty smell coming from crawl space. Thought we needed a vapor barrier, which I loathed to consider the price. Instead we bought 2 of these fans. Placement: pulling in air in the front of the house and another fan pulling to exhaust the air out back of the house. Creating continual airflow in the crawlspace. Fixed the musty smell. 👍👍👍

  2. Fantastic fan!

This fan is amazing! The Crawlspace is so much better. The house even has a better smell inside.

  3. Garage Fan

it is really helping keep the garage a bit cooler. Plus we also insulated the doors!

  4. Thumbs up

Bought 2 and they work great.

  5. Good product

Very well constructed and quiet running
